After living in Italy for 25 years, I can say I feel more Italian than Dutch. I know Italian the cuisine from inside and out. For over 20 years, I ran restaurants in Italy with heart and soul. During those years, my love for the culinary traditions, the food culture, the language, and of course, the flavors—as rich and varied as Italy itself—grew.

Italian cuisine is so infinitely versatile and delicious, and I want our guests to experience it in a cozy, relaxed Italian atmosphere.

At Il Pecorino, we don't compromise on taste, Italian customs, or authenticity. We're proud of that!
This also applies to our Cicchetteria: a bar in the Venetian tradition, where you enjoy drinks with small snacks, cicchetti. Aperitifs are truly part of everyday life in Italy.

This makes Il Pecorino a little piece of Italy in Amsterdam-Noord, where we love to share our love of Italy with our guests.

The passion for Italian cuisine is in my blood. My parents were proud owners of Italian restaurants in Greece.
So I grew up with Italian dishes, authentic flavors, and ingredients. As a true Mediterranean, cooking and being involved with food is in my blood.

For me, the power of pure ingredients, high quality, and simplicity is the key to truly good Italian food. At Il Pecorino, I want to share that love.
We prepare our dishes with fresh ingredients, often straight from Italy. Because for us, everything revolves around flavor, attention, and dining experience.

Together with Tanya, I bring Italian cuisine to life in Amsterdam as we know it: warm, honest, and full of character. From aperitif to coffee. And you can taste it.

We create the Italian experience with passion and love for authentic Italian food and Italian tradition, and at Il Pecorino, you'll truly feel like you're in sunny Italy.
